At Den Hartogh, we are committed to preventing harm to people and the environment, which is always a risk in the logistics industry. And that’s why it’s so important to avoid it. Based on almost a century of experience in logistics, we have identified six operations that could place drivers, operators and the environment at risk. These operations are classified as Non-Standard Operations (NSOs) and include: working at height, sample taking by driver, unloading into IBCs, drums or barrels, unloading Class 3 products with compressed air, loading or unloading without the presence of a local operator, unloading into different tanks at the same delivery site.
Den Hartogh actively works together with customers, loading and unloading sites to eliminate any unacceptable risk for drivers, operators and the environment. Our drivers, for instance, are required to report every time they are or expected to carry out an NSO, so the risk can be assessed
Operations can be completely safely, without any risk for our drivers, operators, the environment and everyone else involved.
